February 2024 TBR list: last month I read six books which has been my average. I set my reading goal at 75 books for this year. Last year is the first year in 6 years that I did not hit so I lowered it from 80 to 75. I’m going to keep my reading goal at 6 books this month. After making my list for this month I realized my first 4 were all books in series, and then I just went with it, this month will be my catch up on series month.

City on Fire by Don Winslow is the start of a new gangster trilogy about Danny Ryan a low level gangster in the Irish mob during the 1980’s. I’m looking forward to this because no one does gangster like Don Winslow. The Power of the Dog trilogy about the DEA and Mexican Cartel is one of my favorites. So looking forward to this book.

The Mystery Guest by Nita Prose is the sequel to the Maid a very fun cozy mystery about a maid on the spectrum who can’t read emotions but has to solve the crime. This time a mystery writer drops dead in her hotel. Thanks to Netgalley and Ballentine books for sending me a free copy of this book.

City of Bones by Michael Connelly is Harry Bosch book 8 and Book 11 in the Harry Bosch Universe. Harry is on a case where a dog finds a child’s bone. Once Harry investigates he finds more than one skeleton but a whole graveyard of them. I fell off this series for a bit, but always wanted to go back.

Home: Habitat, Range, Niche, Territory by Martha Wells is short story in the Murderbot world where it is listed as book 4.5 in the Murderbot series. I’m pretty obsessed with Murderbot and this story was only available for preordering book 5 Network Effect but now it is being released separately, and I must read it.

One Of Us Is Back by Karen M. McManus is the third and final book in One of Us Is Lying Trilogy. This series has been a really fun Young Adult Mystery, that I have loved. McManus is a great writer that really draws you in and keeps you guessing until the end.

Goosebumps – Attack of the Jack-O’-Lanterns by R. L. Stine is Goosebumps book 48 in the original series. I‘ve been reading a book a month for quite sometime and have been having a ball reading a sharing with this community. This is a book on Halloween and I’ve been told it is weird which is sometimes the best but sometimes the worst. We will see.
